Towards an ME Corpus

At the end of his argument Blackhirst kindly provides a glossary for some Arabic Islamic expressions which I reproduce in the Appendix. The glossary provides specific English words referring to their Arabic referents, which are new extended denotations or definitions rather than ones that are already provided for in the standard English dictionaries generally available and used on an everyday basis. These could form the basis of programming a concordance that looks for collocations and frequency of use in order to provide a corpus of Muslim English that represents the language that English speaking Muslims actually use.
